FEDORA Roadshow x O. 2026: Connecting Emerging Music Theatre Makers

O. Festival brought emerging music theatre makers, international programmers and cultural professionals together for a programme centred on artistic exchange, networking and new opportunities for collaboration.

The programme created opportunities for artists to introduce their practices and projects to professionals from across the international performing arts sector. The first day focused on international exchange, with participants from the Creators Connection Programme presenting their artistic identities and creative work.

The programme also brought participants together with Music Theatre NOW Award winners through conversations about artistic practice and creative development. Joint sessions, pitches and creative speed-dating provided further opportunities for artists and programmers to meet and explore potential future collaborations.

A second strand focused on strengthening connections between Dutch artists and international presenters. Artists pitched their projects to programmers and cultural professionals, opening possibilities for future touring, international visibility and collaboration.

Performances formed an important part of the programme alongside the professional encounters, allowing participants to experience a diverse range of contemporary music theatre practices first-hand.

By creating a space where emerging makers could meet established professionals, exchange ideas and present their work, the programme strengthened connections between new artistic voices and the wider international music theatre landscape.
